Agri-supply has several 3pt pallet/bale movers. And I'm trying to decide.

Today they have (prices at store):
1. 3PT CARRY-ALL FORK ATTACHMENT, 500lb, $80 CAT1
3 PT CARRY-ALL FORK ATTACHMENT

2. 3 PT CARRY ALL HITCH, 1,000lb, $130 CAT1
3 PT CARRY ALL HITCH - Agri Supply

3. 3-pt. Pallet Fork, 2,000lb, $150 CAT1
3-pt. Pallet Fork - Agri Supply

4. 3 PT BALE MOVER 1,600 LB CAPACITY, $320 CAT??
3 PT BALE MOVER 1,600 LB CAPACITY - Agri Supply

My B7610 is rated for about 1400lbs, #4 would be ideal, but it's twice the price of #3.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Or better, less expensive recommendations?

/edit - primary intended purpose moving logs and rocks.

Well I don't have hands on experience with any of them, But I do like the #3, it's only 20 dollars more than #2 and has twice the rating.
I've never been thrilled with those angle iron carryalls for using as forks. I thought about getting one for building a wood box on though.

If you don't need the wider stance of #4 for actual bale carrying then why spend the extra money, but the only thing is you say you want to carry logs, with the narrower forks that might be a little tricky, you'd have to pick em right at the middle.

The #3 looks pretty well made in the picture, have you seen it in person?

I modded my loader forks to work with QH on 3pt, it is a nice way to move things around.

Saw it, bought it. Looks sturdy for CAT1.

Any idea what that set of forks weigh?

Also, if you use a quick hitch, those don't look like they would work with one.

Probably wouldn't work with a quick hitch. They feel like at least 50lb, maybe more. I only lifted them once.

#3 looks a lot like what I was planning to make. For that price, it's almost a waste of my time to build it. I'd guess after buying steel, 3pt pins, some welding rod, gas for the welding machine, cut off / grinding wheels and paint my labor would work out to about $0.73 an hour. The satisfaction of a job well done may be priceless, but at that cost-to-build I'm inclined to just buy one.

The design looks nice and stout. Add a few do-dads: hooks for chain to secure loads and brackets for FEL mounting and you've got yourself a very versatile piece of gear. Thanks for posting - I'm still kind of in shock.

anybody measured the spaceing on the bail mover version?

it looks like its to wide to work on standard pallet spaceing.

additionally the bail mover version is going to have MUCH longer tines on it than the pallet version.

Those dimn are on the web but here they are: # 3 forks are 45 inches long and have 22 1/2 inch between them #4 forks are 51 and the over all width is 46.

I move a lot of logs using a set LIKE #4 (not sure was same brand) and the point about having to balance logs is very true. Worked very well. Also you need forks that one fork can handle the load safely as you will end up with full log on one fork as they tilt.

Bumping up an old thread- I need a set and #3 looks very nice. Can you post your experience with them? Any complaints? How are they holding up?
