Tool Carry All - Ideas / Pics Requested?

Anyone build anything for their tractor that acts as a tool carry all? I'd like to make something that will carry a couple of chainsaws, oil, fuel and a few other small items and I'm pretty sure someone more creative than me has made something.

I have a trailer hitch on my 3 pt that I can take the ball off of - that's what I'm thinking is to make something that will slide into the receiver and sort of be a box to hold stuff (not hand tools but larger things as mentioned above).

Don't need anything fancy - would just prefer to not have to make 3 trips to get my stuff to the area where I'm doing the work.

If there's a thread somewhere that addresses this, a link would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I would think one of these would make a good start and be cheaper than you can build something for. You can build boxes as need out of Treated Deck Boards.

Being that you are asking about using it for chainsaws, means you are going in the woods with it. That being the case, I wouldn't have it low and wide off the rear of the tractor. Not where it is easy to get caught up with trees and brush. Too easy to tear up the carrier and worse, the expensive chainsaws.

Instead, I'd suggest scabbards to hold your saws and once saw a clever tray built to mount over the hood, and between the FEL arms. Out of the way, where you can see what is still there (and not sitting on the ground to drive over).

The chainsaw scabbard I clamped to my ROPS is very handy. Still have to watch when on slopes that a tree doesn't get too close to the saw, but better than having it set on the ground where it is in harms way.

Here is what I built for my chainsaw and gas/oil/wedges etc. Framework unclips for maintenance w/o tools. Other pics are mod of old abused Kubota bucket modified into a firewood carrier.

I built this shelve thing onto my 3ph contraption. It holds chainsaw, fuel, chains, wedges, rope, 2 snatch blocks, helmet, chaps, large hammer and sometimes my coffee. I like it because the FEL remains usable for any task that comes up.

You have a lot smoother going into your woods than I do mine. That stuff would be scattered all over in short order. But if it works for you, great.
