Re: backblade size 6 or 7?
Yeah Mark,
I have an 8 ft 100 HP blade on my tractor and have to watch it carefully and run it slow. Catch a big rock and something has to give. I usually run in 1st gear and at idle to get as low a speed as possible. I am pulling it with 68 HP and the 3 point linkage and stabilizers are beefy on the M6800, but Kubota only rates it for a 7 ft blade. When digging ditches, the forces are extremely high on a blade, but it does a wonderful job. Just like all things, be careful.

Re: backblade size 6 or 7?
thanx again for the "real life experiences" I plan on getting a 7 for snow but will not use it to dig any ditchs in hard packed dirt. (I have a 5ft box blade w/rippers that I would use for that) Sounds like I should be fine working in any loose material which is what I plan on. Now to find the right one........
