Hi, I'd like to make a 3pt hitch attachment for my Bobcat A300. I would also like it to have a PTO. I figured I could use the hydraulic hookups the same as I would for my auger. The local hydraulic supplier says its no problem to get the hydraulic motor I need, I just have to have the manufacturer and a part number and he'll order it... I was thinking he would tell me what I needed, silly me!

Well, I don't know anything about hydraulics, but I'm a darn good fabricator! Could anyone give me specifics on a motor that would do the job?

I want 540rpm (the same as on my MF 1080 tractor).
The bobcat has high flow (37gpm) and 3300psi.

Thanks for any advice,

Troy Boyd

Surplus Center also has motors with the PTO stub already on them-look HERE.

There are some commercially available ones also...do a Google search for "skid steer pto adapter".

There are a lot of 3 point adapters for skid steers ranging in price from $200 - $2000. The 2K ones already have the PTO. I landed in the middle getting a Land Pride adapter for $850. It has the quick tach which I wanted due to age and climbing in and out to hook up. Haven't used it yet so I cant give a report. I plan to add one of surplus center's hydraulic motors to mine as soon as money becomes available for more toys. I use an old 1845C case with Hi Flow. It develops about 36 Hydraulic HP. That should give enough power to tear something up. Oh, the Land Pride also has an adapter for a standard square reciever hitch which helped me justify the toy.
