HAS ANYONE TRIED A KING KUTTER ATV DISC?
http://www.kingkutter.com/WholeGood.asp?item=ATV Disc
WILL THEY WORK FOR FOOD PLOTS? I HAVE A NEW HOLLAND TC21D THAT I PLAN ON PULLING IT WITH, IS THAT BIG ENOUGH. MY THOUGHT WAS ON REALY SOFT GROUND I COULD LOWER THE TIRES TO HELP FLOAT ACROSS THE TOP. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Your tractor will pull it better than any ATV could ever hope to, so you're good there. However, they aren't all that heavy duty as compared to regular implements. That tongue looks problematic to me when coupled with a tractor. There will be a lot of stress on everything when you're making turns, unless you want to stop and get down every time you get to the end of the field. If at all possible, I’d check the local farm auctions for a smaller size 3 point disk. If that one there the only thing you can find, it will work. It’s just that farm equipment is built better than “food plot” equipment, and MUCH cheaper at auctions. If the ground is really soft, don’t even try disking, it doesn’t work with any disk. Plus, KK disks don’t have scrapers, which make them hard to use even in damp soils.

We bought a used KK disc for our 4 wheeler to use on small plots. It's like the small one shown above. My wife pulls it everywhere with our 400 Kawasaki. We dont worry about getting stuck in a swamp with the disc and a four wheeler (unlike the tractor).

We put a large rock and a couple of wieghts on it...which makes it dig a bit better. However the wieght (and sharp turns??) caused the gang "hangars" to bend....so I had to reinforce them with gussets.

We like the little disc allot as we can get into areas our tractor and bigger disc cannot operate. I would think any tractor (worth a salt) would pull this little disc ten ways to Sunday.
