I want to buy a tille for my BX2360. What size tiller do I need? I have heard that that a reverse tiller is a good idea. it is supposed to spin backwards to help keep the tiller when the ground is hard.

I don't know a lot about any BX models but taking a guess I would think you have 15 - 18 pto hp? I think the rule of thumb is 5 hp/foot. Ask your dealer but a 48" unit does not seem out of line.

I have a 50 inch on my 2305 and wouldn't want a reverse tine any bigger. With a forward tine tiller bigger would be okay.

I have a 48" BushHog tiller (made by Sigma, in Italy), and this is about all my BX2350 can handle. I've bogged the tractor down in soil full of tree roots and rocks. Overall, though, I've been very happy with it. BushHog re-badges Sigma units for its smaller offerings. This unit is well designed and well built.

I thought a lot and read on TBN a lot about reverse units before buying the BushHog a year ago, and I'm glad I didn't get a reverse model. The concept is great but it requires HP that a BX2350 doesn't have for it to work well. I'd think about one for a larger B-series, but not a smaller tractor than that.

Soil is a consideration. If you have sandy soil, maybe a reverse unit might work. Clay loam or heavy clay, I wouldn't try it.

I think 48 sounds about right also. I would not recommend reverse rotation either for that tractor. Sigma markets under several other names as mentioned on earlier post. We have the Phoenix, Farmaxx, First Choice and I am pretty sure the Sigma also make tillers for Kioti, JD Frontier and many others. Well built machines for the $ spent--Ken Sweet
