Backhoe 750 Bush Hog backhoe

I just bought a New Holland T2310 with a 750 bush hog backhoe on it, but the out riggers will not lift the tractor off the ground. Would a 850 be to big for this tractor, the tractor is 40 hp.

I may be wrong here, but it sounds like there is a problem with the BH or the pump.

Not familiar with the 750 Bush Hog BH But some questions:
Does it work off your tractor's PTO with a backhoe hydraulic tank or is it plumbed directly into the tractor's hydraulic system?
Did you try it out or see it fully operate before you bought it?

The tractor is brand new so is the backhoe, it runs off the PTo. The dealer said that it lifted the tractor clear up off the ground and I took his word. After trying the hoe and realizing that it will not lift the rear off the ground I called the dealer and explained the problem so he sent his mechanic up and he put new cylinders on and it still would not lift. The dealer admitted that they had not tested it to see if it would lift. So now we are looking into trading up one size to a 850. I think this tractor would handle it fine it is 40hp and 4wd with cab. Air conditioning and a heater

Its not that the tractor wont handle a bigger bh. You could upgrade and end up with that bh doing the same thing. I'd check the pressure of the pump. What is the flow rate of the pump suppose to be? How big is the reservoir for the hydraulic fluid? Have you tried the bh even though it wont lift the tractor. Does it seem to work ok otherwise? How big are the lift cylinders?

I understand what you are saying, but the outriggers on this backhoe are not long enough to get the tractor off the ground even if I it would lift by them selves which they don't. one side will fully extend but the other side will not. Lifting the hoe with the boom I can put both out riggers down but it still is not enough to lift the tires out of the dirt, and you know what happen when you are diigging and the out riggers scooch lower, then you are at the point of no out riggers.

I was at the dealer looking at those BH's. The brochure lists the 750 rated for 25-50 PTO HP and the 850 rated for 35-100 PTO HP. Both need 6-8 GPM volume and 2400 PSI.

If the out riggers are not long enough then the BH is installed wrong. Either wrong subframe is being used or something isn't set up correct. If you move to the 850 I would do a test fit on your tractor before making the final purchase.
Some photos of the problem would help.

I would post this in the New Holland section. Someone there might have the same combo and give you clues where to look for problems.
