Thanks for the reply. I understand about not wanting to make custom mounts. I already have a SS QA, which is one of the reasons for wanting the 48". For my tractor the QA takes up some of my lift capacity so I was looking for something as light as possible. I will see what you come up with in the future, I am not in a hurry.

the next grapple out of our factory will be a C shaped grapple rake like the Bradco Compact Root Rake. It was supposed to be designed and on the market already but has been pushed back because we've been so busy this spring.

What size tractor is this new grapple going to be rated for? I am looking for that style grapple but the link you gave said it was rated for up to a 55 hp tractor.

I like the price of the wicked grapple but not sure what tractor it is rated for. Or should I be looking at the heavier duty Bradco units?

The Wicked Grapple as well as the Rake Style C shaped grapple that we'll make in the future are both rated for tractors up to around 55hp. For larger tractors, we offer the Construction Attachments Xtreme Duty grapple and the WR Long OBG2(lift cap. up to 2,200 pounds) and OBG1(up to 3,500 pounds) grapples. Here are all of the Tractor Root Grapples that we offer.

I plan on purchasing a "C" shaped grapple in the near future. I am currently recovering from a smashed foot and it has given me time to think about good grapple designs. I have used a flat bottom grapple and a "C" shaped on different equipment, 30 years in the tree business. I prefer the "C" shaped.

Traditionally "C" shaped grapples have one long top grapple. this is to allow back dragging. I like the flexibility and of twin top grapples to better grab material. Wondered if there was any way to incorporate a twin top grapple into a "C" shaped grapple design. Of course this may add tothe cost but may make a great product.

That was mentioned in another thread and Ted likes the idea. I think he plans to design our C shaped grapple rake so you can use it with twin grapple lids and also have the option of pinning them together as one solid lid.

I have a Mahindra 2516 25hp and with loader and loaded tires it's around 2500lbs I believe. The width from the outside to outside back tires is 54.3 inches.

I'm looking at a few implements from your site: your extreme duty disk harrow,root rake,cultipacker and brush hog. The harrow, root rake2.0 and cultipacker are the ones you build, and I'm looking at the Cain brush hog.
My question is what size in each of these implements will fit my tractor without beating it up?

I would go with 60" in each of those attachments. You can use the Xtreme angle iron harrow with 16" or 18" blades which is wider than 60" but will be fine. If you want the heavier Xtreme box frame harrow with adjustable gangs, i'd stick with the 16" blades for your tractor.
