Typically a container load of equipment has a retail value of $80,000-$200,000. Most end-users need assembly and if you purchased direct your pocket would be the warranty. If you want to be an importer you will need a bond, freight forwarder & a customs broker. Neither would an end user have the equipment to unload a container. Likely you would need to pay in advance before the items are manufactured. You typically would receive the goods 3-4 months after you paid for them.I would like to spin this around the other way on Ya Ted (-:
We have threads here that extol the virtues of some European implements, where farming with small tractors is still practiced more than in the US.
How much of a hassle would it be for you to import, say a container load for a group of us from somewhere like Italy ?
TBN members have clubbed together before on bulk deals, so there is some expertise/experience in the group of getting the agreements together.
I do not think you realize that you are asking a company to work for free. I do not think you would work long for free and you would likely be incensed if someone asked you to risk money for free. Companies have to make a profit to stay in business.
