I have Ford 770B and 7108 detachable loaders. The 770B manual says to turn the spool on the relief valve/diverter valve, to take the pressure off the hydraulic pump, after removing loader. Both loader remotes are tractor mounted. (stay on tractor when loader is removed) Common sense tells me that changing the spool is not needed unless the loader remote control valve come off the tractor and are mounted onthe loader. I just want to be correct and not hurt the pump.
