There was a post a while back discussing land planes and 3pt road graders so I had to take some pics of this one I came across today. While some road graders are small versions of a plane, around here this is a land plane. Not too many folks can level there driveways with this.

Not too many folks have a tractor that could pull that.....

Might be handy to make your own runway with but is alot more cumbersome than a motorgrader. Looks like a transport nightmare but with that length it should do a good job.

Those are what the big guys use. I don't think that they ever leave the property once they get assembled. The ones that I've seen were 60-80 feet long.

Yep, it takes a lot of hp to pull it but this bad boy will level out a field in just a few passes. Every year there are one or two of these planes at the largest spring farm consignment auction in this part of KS. That is where I found this one. Guess the farmers wives don't want these monsters parked in the yard when the field prep is done. Out here farmers have as much right to travel the highways with large farm equipment as folks in cars so these things get moved around.

Looks like it would take a Kansas quarter section to turn it around!:D
