I did not know of the store until a couple of years ago. I assume they sell imported stuff for the most part. I won't be buying a loader or a Bushog from them, but their prices on simple stuff seems incredible. I can buy a landscape rake, carry-all,chain harrow, cultivator and a boom for less than $800. What's the story on this stuff? I know all about TSC and Fleet Farm , but they are not even close.

If I had to guess, I would say China Junk is the answer to your question. Use it once and throw it away. Ken Sweet

I bought a Fimco sprayer and PTO pump through AgriSupply and it was cheaper even with shipping than buying it at TSC locally. I think they carry a similar quality of product to TSC. I wish I had one locally as I saw the price for a plastic tank that I could use to carry water to newly planted trees is less than anything locally, especially if I didn't have to pay shipping. I have found their service to be fine.

Fimco is fine. We pick and choose all the time with agri and usually place a order at least once per week. Just have to be careful on the Chinese stuff they handle. Ken Sweet

Excellent company they sell cheap and are very helpful even with a technical question on the phone. They sent the wrong part to me and had the right on out the next day no questions asked even though the packing slip said the right thing, did not even ask for the old part, of couse the weight of it would cost them more than the $5 that they could have resold that part for, but this was just assuming i was not lieing and just wanted another.

The shipping will eat you up. Take the dirt scoop for example $160is dollars, TSC dirt scoop, looks exactly the same and is probly made in the plant next door in china. TSC want like $250 or so for theres or more, by the time you ship the thing you can buy it local at TSC and get it that day. But if you live near an agrisupply you can get it for real cheap out the door. I live 2 hours and 3 hours away from one, i have seriously thought about getting stuff from them and making the trip, but the gas and time was not worth it i just bought what i needed at TSC.

I understand that quality cost but I find that I don't need the same quality in something that I use three times a year as I do from something I use each week. It is important that it is able to do the job. A boom, carry all and as far as I can see, a chain harrow is not very complex. I don't know if bulletproof is necessary for a small compact tractor. I would rather go cheap on simple things and spend extra on the complex demanding implement that needs a lot of support. I have bought all my stuff locally.

A Snap-on socket set is great but it's foolish to buy one to tighten 6 bolts once a year.

A boom and carry may not need to be bulletproof until you or a family member is under one when it collapses. Chain harrow is something that I cant see anyone getting hurt with. Ken Sweet

Messmaker,

I agree with your feelings entirely. I was willing to pay more for a Bushhog brand rotary mower and box blade or a Landpride rear blade. But the carrier frame I bought from Tractor supply for less than $100. On the sprayer I bought from Agrisupply, if I was a commercial sprayer, it would maybe make a difference, but I use it once in the spring and once in the fall. If you looked in my tool box on the tractor, you would find adjustable wrenches from Harbor Freight because I don't want to cry when I loose one in the field, but I buy better tools for the garage. So that is why I indicated most of their stuff is similar to TSC quality and you can make your own judgement as to the quality you want. Frequently it is the exact same as at TSC, but priced significantly less. At any rate I thought it would provide you more usable information than calling it China Junk. Alas, we once referred to Japan Junk.

I hope me or my family would not be under a boom pole with a load on it. I would not let my wife or kids walk under a boompole with a load on it even if it was made in a USA shop.

Do you realize how many thousand car and truck motors are put in with these and someone under the car/truck attaching bolts or how much machinery is loaded on a trailer or truck with someone guiding it into place. Makes chills run up and down my spine to think about it!! Ken Sweet
