Like the title says. I have some ground thats not the lawn but not the corn field. I like to keep it mowed but its a bit rough for the mower.

I'm thinking I could get the tiller and just lightly kiss the ground and break up the high spots. Since its not the yard and covered in grass some bare spots wont concern my in the slightest, just looking for ways to smooth it out a touch.

Thoughts?

You could do that. I'd plan on a way to drag it good after tilling, but should work ok. IMO. Go for it.

Not sure "kissing" the ground will be all that satisfactory for you, but you will be able to tell soon enough how to do it best.

Sure. I did somewhat similar. Had a lot of pig damage - basically sod upturned leaving holes of varying depths - quite irregular. I ran my tiller over it, basically "kissing" it. This served to break up the sod clods and fill in the holes. In some cases I made multiple passes. Probably should have dragged after, but didn't. At least smooth enough again the wife can mow.

Same here, I use the tiller in a variety of ways. It is best to do that activity when dry as the grass clumps will break apart better.
