This is my first post to TractorByNet, although I have been reading the various articles for several months now. I have learned a lot from all of you; there is a great deal of wisdom accumulated here. I have also been impressed by the friendly attitude shown by almost everyone. Everyone seems to want to help one another with no hidden agendas anywhere. Now to my question: I have decided to purchase a Tiller for my Kubota B7800, and have pretty much settled on the King Kutter. Can someone tell me the difference between the King Kutter, the King Kutter II, and the King Kutter Professional models?

Thanks

Its like "good" "better" and "best" the price slides up also :)

Look at the King Kutter II. It will be more than enough for your size tractor. I knew about the Pro line but I didn't know of a line less than the KK II models. They do make a model for sub compacts.

We sell them, and you are right, there are just the two lines and a subcompact XB model. Here are a couple links to some good pics on our site and features discussion video too. Basically, they are close to the same price, and if you are not going to use the Quick Hitch, buy the King Kutter II. In my opinion it is a better value.

King Kutter II Tiller

 Hope this helps . . . both are good tillers.

Ted,
Is the pricing correct on those two links? The 48" and 72" show the same price for either the KKII and the KK Pro models, with the 6" Pro only $20 more than the II.
Keep up the good work! Don't know how I got by without the loader forks (that I bought from you a couple of years ago). I keep looking at your website and wishing.

I think the professional model is a KKII modified for Quick Hitch compatibility. I am very pleased with my KKII - it's built very solid and really performs.

We have the "Tarter" brand for $1495 48 inch and $1595 60 inch and $1695 on the 72 inch. All are gear drive and 6 tines per rotor and have slip clutch as standard equipment. Made in the USA. Ken Sweet

Ken, it seems I hear most of the gear drive tillers are from Italy and basically are put together with the same parts from there. Possibly even sharing the same production line. Is that so?

I know Sicma makes tillers and finish mowers for a lot of brands including their own. Other than that, I would doubt parts interchangability. We also sell Italian rototillers. We sell Phoenix and First Choice made by Sicma. Ken Sweet

Yes it is. Thanks, we have almost finished taking our own photos of the King Kutter product line. That project has been going on for two months at least . . .

Glad your loader forks are serving you well. My internet guy shot some footage of a commercial grading guy moving around large rocks. He has had his (the skid steer version 1PF) for 10 years, and is on his fifth skid steer but the same forks. Thanks for buying them American Made, and from us!
