Looking at two different Land Pride tillers and I am trying to determine if this price seems "fair". I haven't really found much through Google searching, so I figured I would ask here.

Normangee Tractor, who happens to be about 120 miles away, but is the dealer I purchased my tractor from. = RTA 20-72 = $2950.00 in stock
RTR 20- 72 = $3426.00 one week delivery

WOWCO Equip, who is 10 miles away, and I bought my first Kubota there, 14 years ago.

RTA 20- 72 = $3100.00 1-2 weeks
RTR 20- 72 = $3600.00 1-2 weeks

Both of these dealers have treated me fairly in the past, and I travel by both frequently so their distance is not a deal breaker for me. I am mainly asking to see if these seem like fair prices for the LP tiller, or if they are way out of line and maybe I should be looking elsewhere... If it's within about 10%, I would prefer to do business with a dealer that I have already done business with, if it's much more than that, my loyalties begin to be questioned.

BTW, these dealers are located in Texas, if pricing is regionally influenced.

Really interested in the two tillers I listed. I don't have any experience with a Tarter to know how it stacks up to a Land Pride... I have had very good service in the past with some Land Pride finish mowers. I realize that one pays a premium for them, but I have never regretted buying a quality tool.

If one was to look at the Tarter vs the Land Pride side by side, how would the following compare?

Gear box?
design layout?
Steel thickness?
Weld and fitment?
Paint quality?
Bearings?

Thanks,
Chris

Here is a link to company website. I believe they have been in business making quality products before Landpride was even dreamed about? I am NOT saying Landpride is not good quality, Just overpriced. Ken Sweet

You need to call Moss Hill Tractor, I brought a 6 foot Land pride there for 3 weeks ago for 2 k and some change.

a buddy of mine picked up a new 72" reverse LP tiller (non heavy duty gear box) for right around $2k a few weeks ago... the heavy duty one was quite a bit more but don't remember the price.

Thanks for the heads up on Moss Hill tractor. I spoke with the gentleman there for better than an hour this morning. He is a wealth of information.

He quoted me on a RTA - 20 - 72 at $2850.00, though he does not have one in stock.

He was 20% lower than anywhere else I have seen on his QA hay spears too.

Even if I don't end up purchasing the LP tiller from him, I can see myself doing business with him in the future...
