I had a Howard Roto-Vator once. Good heavy unit, I thought they where made or owned by a company in England. But I think you can get stuff for them from Beaver Valley Supply Co.

Post some pics of the restore. I've got one that I picked up at auction few years ago that was sitting in a fence row. It looks rough, but still runs fine. I would like to clean it up and make it look nice again some day as well.

Welcome to TBN! I have also restored a tiller and recently a post hole auger. My tiller was in a barn fire and I had to take it apart and replace a few seals and some slip clutch parts in the PTO shaft. In the end I got a practically brand new tiller. I really enjoyed restoring the tiller and hope you enjoy restoring yours. Finding decals can be quite challenging which is why my tiller doesnt have any. Good luck with your project and be sure to post pictures!

Thank you for welcoming me to this site! your tiller looks sharp nice work, i had some time today to do some research and i found that allis chalmers orange is the color to use, and a guy by the name of steve mundy has over 40 years of knowledge of the howard roto-vators, super nice guy, he also may be able to get some decal sets if not just some standerd howard decals wich will be just fine with me, he said they are resonably priced, pm me for his # if your interested. im gonna start working on this thing tommorow and i will post pics. i hope my resto turns out as sharp as yours and thanks for sharing.
