Do a search on TBN for grapple. If you are a speed reader you may get through all the info in about a week.

Re: Construction Attachments from Everything Attachments
I was a little vague - was looking for input on that particular grapple. I have utilized the search function and researched the Markham/Gator grapples; however, the small one seems too light and the HD one too heavy for my tractor. The 9TL loader on my CT445 is rated at 2050lbs @ 500mm in front of the pins, IIRC.
My uses would mostly be land clearing, brush gathering, kudzu root molesting, etc. In that case, I suppose I should be calling it a "brush grapple", but the terms seem largely interchangeable.
Just want something that matches my loader capabilities and wondered if anyone had input on that particular grapple.
Thanks,
John K.CT445

Ok, that one looks pretty good and Construction Attachments makes some pretty good stuff. I have a heavy duty unit from Unlimited Fabrication, but Unlimited Fabrication does have a std duty unit. It is a bit bigger than what a lot of guys on TBN like though.
Sorry that I can't be of more help, good luck with your decision.

Thanks, Brian! Lots of good info to digest on this site. I hadn't seen that manufacturer before - will check them out.
I think I will also call Gator and talk to them before I pull the trigger. I have read where they have incorporated mods for customers in the past.CT445

I have adapted a Steel Tech grapple to fit my trackhoe. They were on Ebay and were priced the same as a thumb. They made mine for me so I could mount it on a boom instead of a loader. It was light enough to be used on my small trackhoe. Just food for thought.MANUFACTURER OF QUALITY SKID STEER ATTACHMENTS Prices are on this site http://stores.ebay.com/Steel-Tec-Inc

ANBO is widely considered the gold standard for root and brush grapples
ANBO Manufacturing - Rock, Root & Tree Grapples
Here's one that's made similar to the ANBO and at not too bad of a price

CA makes decent stuff, and seems to be sensitive to weight/strength as related to the size/caacity of what an attachment is attached to. Bigger and heavier sometimes is not better. I just yesterday recieved a CA toothbar from Everything Attachmennts. It seems to be well-suited to the tractor it will be bolted to. My ordering/delivery experience with EA was good.

Re: Construction Attachments from Everything Attachments
How much do your grapples weigh? I'm looking at an 81" that weighs 800lbs and a 72" that weighs 750 lbs. I wonder if they're too heavy for my M-7040.
