Kubota BX-2350
I just recently purchased a 23 HP diesel Kubota BX2350 with turf tires and I need a Carry All (CA).

The only CA I have found that I could look at was at a Tractor Supply about 35 miles from my home. The CA looked OK for my needs but I am concerned if I can lift it high enough for traveling up and down little mounds and ditches without it dragging.

On the TSC Carry All (CA), the two pins which connect to the two lower arms of the tractor's 3 pt hitch, are located 17 1/2" above the bottom (ground level) of the CA. The two bottom arms of my 3 pt hitch operate between about 8 1/2" and 25 inches above ground level which makes me think that after hooking up to the CA at 17 1/2", I will only be able to get the CA about 7 1/2" above ground level. (i.e. the two connector pins were 17 1/2" from bottom and about 16" from the top of the TSC's CA)

Tractor Supply's website picture appears to show the two pins at a much lower height but they said that all they have ever seen are like the one they have in stock and all are about 17 1/2" high.

Can someone shed some light on my height question or suggest a suitable substitute CA that I can order by phone or on the internet? I have found the Northern Tool CAs on the web but in a telephone call to them I could not get anyone that could answer the height question and if theirs would lift high enough on the BX2350. What height are the pins on your CA on your BX or compariable compact tractor?

This is the link to the five Carry Alls sold by Northern Tool:

The King Kutter model CA with a weight capacity of 1,000lbs seems to be the best choice? Does anyone own this or another model and could measure it for me?

If someone can help me out on the height question of the two lower pins on the CA for the lower 3 pt hitch arms and have a recommendation on these or other CA's, I would appreciate hearing from you.

As there is no place near me to view or measure the CA, I will have to order one sight unseen.

Your expertise and help will be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks,

Billy

You can drill out and move the lower pins to any where you like. A CA was my first welding project - very easy to make one (fun too). Sorry don't have any measurements, but sure someone else will have it.

Billyii, once you get your carry all there is a neat video series on Equipment-Tube.com on upgrading a Tractor Carry-all. These guys have some great ideas in a 6 part step by step video series.

I have a carry all from TSC and I am very happy with it...but be advised... there are two different load capacities depending on which carry all they have... see this thread: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachments/175168-quality-control-issue-countyline-product.html

Also..before I recently added a hydraulic toplink it was a pain to adjust the tilt needed to utilize the carry all to it's maximum potential...
Now with the hydraulic toplink it is one of the most useful attachments I have...it makes moving/lifting/transporting anything much easier...

I have everything from a passenger bench seat to a stand up work bench that I bolt to the carry all...

Put the Carryall pins in their lowest position. Should be okay.

Below are pictures of the carryall on my 4010. Loading the carryall about 1/2 to 2/3 full and the FEL full makes the load very stable.

Thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions for a carry all. I bought the TSC 1,000# capacity model yesterday. The two lower pin holders on the CA will have to be cut off and lowered for it to lift properly on my Kubota BX2350. I will have to take it to a welder and then built my platform.

Again, many thanks to all of you.

Mr.Ralph
Awesome looking CA you made there!
Almost looks like you could change specs. a little bit, mount decorative type chains on it and start making wooden type swinging sofa seats like people mount on their porches.

Billy, are the pins welded on... I thought most are bolted on. Can you take of photo of the pin from the CA??? Also, where are you located? Might have a member nearby that can help ;)
