I guess what you are telling me is that neither of you think a 10' rotary cutter, Kodiak or otherwise, is a good idea for the Mahindra 50 pto tractor. I can't go to bigger tractor in Mahindra, at least not now. 60 hp is the biggest they sell in the states right now. Could go to another brand, but have not been able to find comparable in weight, lift capacity, and price. For example, a JD 5420 w/loader 4wd is around 30k. The Mahindra is about 23k.
Also, I did run the 3pt Kodiak cutter behind the Mahindra in an open flat field, very high weeds which had not been cut for two years. I was running at a medium speed at below pto suggested speed. It did not labor the engine at all. I was told by the dealer selling the Mahindra and cutter that the Kodiak cutter was designed for lower hp tractors with the cutter deck not being as long (front to rear) as maybe the woods and bush hog. I also noticed the A frame bracing connected at a front to mid pont on the deck, not to the rear as you find on the woods & bush hog. I also notice that when I lifted the cutter the front wheels on the tractor lifted a little, not off the ground, but I knew I had 1400lbs of 7 gauge steel in the air on the back. This Mahindra did not have a loader on it, but did have about 200lbs of front weights. Does this change your opinions any?
