Picked up this "Semco" disc harrow/boxblade yesterday.I had been looking for a disc harrow for small foodplots for a little while.I'd had never heard of Semco brand.Down here unless you buy a new one disc harrows are hard to find.I did a search on web/TBN and could not find anything on this brand. So I called Semco in Camilla,Georgia.I asked man that answered phone if they still sold these(attachments). He said no,I then asked him if they bought them from somewhere else and put Semco labels on them.He said no "we used to make them ourselves" and closed that part of operations down in Dec.2009.Semco now only makes trailers.
Anyway boxblade is 7'.On disc harrow from disc to disc on back measures a little over 6'.On front disc to disc is 5' so I'am guessing it is a 5 and a half footer:confused2:.
If anyone owns a (Semco),or seen/sold this brand.Comments, etc. would be appreciated.I have to clean up disc a little bit because I wanted to see if serrated wheel disc's say "made in USA,India or what?
BTW boxblade I did'nt need.Disc harrow I will be using behind my Bota L3400DT.Thanks in advance.

Although I have never heard of that Brand, Those are 2 nice looking tools. I like the roller bearings on the disc. Usually we call a 10 blade disc a 6 1/2 ft. I see that yours can be adjusted some on the tubing. New one like that at our store $1095. Parts are pretty much interchangeable on that disc and many others, with the exception of frame parts. Congratulations. Ken Sweet

The frame on the disk looks well built, but the 3 point frame and the brace bar leave a bit to be desired. Honestly, that brace looks useless, and appears to be bent already. Easy to replace with something stronger through. Not sure the relevance of where the blades are made? Should work well, but I would personally replace that brace. Maybe I’m harder on things than other people. :D

Are you considering selling the box blade? I am planning on buying one so I have an interest in it. I will be down towards your area next week so unfortunately not much time to discuss this, should have thought about it sooner. If you're planning on selling please either post or try sending me a PM, or I can try to PM you if you prefer.
