Corn Suffler vs Cultivator for Sweet Corn
Has anyone used a corn scuffler on sweet corn? I use a cultivator to cultivate my sweet corn but still have to pull weeds between the stalks. When I look at the design of the large gear like wheels, it looks like the scuffler may help with the weeds between stalks. Anyone know if this is the case?

I don't know if that machine would work on that application. Would be interesting to try. On Corn, Tobacco and row crops, we move our inside cultivator shanks closer to the row we are plowing and drive a little faster to throw the dirt in between the plants in the row. This works well as long as the weeds don't get more than 3-4 inches tall. Ken Sweet

I see Agri-Supply sells something called "buzzard sweeps". I think they're ajustable somehow has anyone ever used them and what did you think of them? I'm needing something that throws the soil a little further out to the sides than the furrows that I've got now. bjr
