15 foot batwing mower

trying to decide if to buy a modern ag predator or a land pride 3315 mower.
want to make the rght decision. i know the predator is galvanized but to me that's no big deal. thanks

I have a 10' Modern mower some 2.5 years now. Been sitting outside since I bought it and who knows how long at the dealer. Galvanizing has been holding up just fine. Mower works okay but the tongue on the 10' is poorly designed.

It looks like a horizontal "U" with a pin at the bottom (back) of the "U". If you have a straight drawbar without one of those extra support brackets to hold the pin verticle then the mower tongue hangs down causing excess wear on everything.

Is that the new design 15 (Modern)? IN 1970, my dad acquired 140 ac.s in E. Texas that had not been bushhogged in years. We were poboying it--got an old Farmall M & he got a new 6' Modern cutter. He used to say --"if the tractor will push it over, I'll cut it" & he did. I still have that cutter on blocks to remind me of perseverance. Get the Modern. If can't get good deal, PM me & I'll put you in touch w/ a great guy who is a dealer in Winnie, TX. He sells all over U.S.

leonz told me to save my money? on what the modern. i live in san antonio. i know a guy in tyler that has a 15' land pride 3315 for sale. i did use a 3315 last weekend a friend had it was great. all i do is pretty much mow in south texas. i know the modern ag predator is very heavy compared to all the 15' batwings. the one for sale is a 2009 model used under 200 hours. appreciate any help. thanks john
