Every time I look at my new JD 3032 I see something else that gets my curiosity up. This time it's "holes" again (photos attached).

1. There are three hefty threaded bosses on the 305 loader's cast iron mounting frame, but ONLY on the right side. What were they put there for? Looks like something pretty stout could be installed there, but I can't imagine what it might be.

2. There are four matching holes, two on each side, drilled through the main lift arm plates. Nothing has ever been in them, factory paint is untouched. Anybody know what these holes are for?

As usual, thanks for the help!

On the main lift arm plates, might they be for a level rod?

You could search in JDParts;)

Looks like the three holes might be for the parking stand kit.

(shown in jdparts under P in the alpha index)

I wish my Model 70 loader had threaded holes in the mast like yours does. That would be a GREAT way/place to mount a chainsaw holder!

G'day not sure on the threaded holes but the other four look like lifting points to me for when the loader is fitted and would prob only be used if you had a crane or overhead gantry as alot of smaller workshops do that fit these thing later in their life
