I am looking for a set of pallet forks for a fullsize backhoe loader. It is not practical to remove the bucket as it does not have a quick attach system.

What I am looking for, and I think I have seen, and not just imagining....

Are a set of forks that attach to the bucket. They are not clamp on style though. Basically there are a set of "ears" that are welded on to the top of the bucket. Then the forks slide into those ears and fold down into the bucket and extend out. You remove them when you aren't using them.

Second option, and my preference would be a system that I can adapt to make the bucket quick attach. Do they make something aftermarket for full size machines?

Thanks, Tim

something like these? we have them on a JD 510 at work. you'd just need to weld the hooks onto the top of your bucket. maybe reinforce the bucket if needed.

Yep!!

How do you like them? Seems like it is the best of both worlds. Keep the bucket attached, grab the forks, use em, and drop em without ever leaving the operators seat.

The only disadvantage is that if you are carrying something that you want to dump, load of bush, logs, whatever, the forks don't dump with the bucket. They swing outward.

Kind of a pain if that situation is part of the use.

Also, with all of the clamp-on/hang-on types, the bucket blocks your vision of where the forks are. I don't think I'd like working blind with forks, a missed guess of a few inches can do a lot of damage.

they work well for what they are, forks on a bucket. as has been stated, they can't dump and the bucket is in the way of good visibility. the machine is a loader/backhoe first, not a forklift. if you needed them to dump and had a fixed width load you could chain them back to the bucket. otherwise they'll work for 99% of the things you'd probably load and unload.

I think that's the one you may not want to pay for, but what you'll really like in the end. Go to FFC's website. They make quick couplers for backhoes. Downside is, your pin-on bucket won't fit the new quick coupler mount you add to your loader arms.

I had a Case 580 SuperM with an FFC quick couple that worked great. had the quick couple front loader bucket and a set of pallet forks for it.
