Dead Horse - lets see if I have the right picture in my mind - your pulling a HD 10' with a gear hesston through brush so high it reaches the operators station and you know there are bolders lurking. Your right! a flat rockless pasture is a joy -I'll keep it in mind next time it seems tedious;)

Not "brush" per se, more like grasses and weeds....... like for example milkweed, and such. Several types of weeds get as high as 5 feet tall by the time we cut the orchard.

I do know where 99% of the rocks are........ the ones we could dig out we have done so over the years, the "big" ones develop an "identity" after a while.......

Slewing around 1,100 plus apple trees with the big mower or backing into them to trim around them with the JD613 and the 3710, is where the time is consumed.... it is also mostly where the "damage" is experienced.

I love this place, but it IS a labor, of love.

Interlaux, You have had this a couple years and I was wondering if you are still happy. I am planning on getting one in the spring to run on my 5530 Mahindra (45hp pto). Thanks.

Lee,

I pull a 10' Mahindra/Kodiak with my 5530. Quite satisfied with the tractor/mower combination. Something to look at. They also have a 8' pull or 3pt hookup unit. Specs are on the Kodiak web site. What I also found out before I made my purchase was it takes less pto power to run a pull unit which came from the specs sheet.
