Live near Ocala. Took the almost 3 hour ride to Agi Supply in Tifton ,Ga. Long day.
Anyway, makes TSC look small. It is huge. Could spend the day there. Picked up a Caroni 59 inch with the fine blades, FSC. Loaded into pickup and back home. No help to unload. So a pulley over beam in the pole barn. Thought something would give and I would ruin my new implement. All went well. The people at Agri were great. Caroni was fully lubed, gearbox filled etc. Glad I made the drive rather than freight. Saved a few bucks even after gas.

Have not yet hooked up PTO shaft. It is a bit long but is it really necessary to take measurements? Can I just cut a few inches off each shaft as long as they overlap sufficiently? If not I'll watch the video on shortening.

One thing I did not expect was the large amt of offset, but this is great. Makes mowing along my electrobraid fence MUCH easier. Less trimming and no need to walk the property with roundup under the fence.

Overall, Im happy. Cannort wait to mow in the morning!!!

I am glad that you were able to obtain the caroni with the F rotor, did you buy the new extended dipstick set up to replace the standard one?

About the PTO shaft; You could cut 2 inches off to see how that goes by just raising it very slowly before use to see if it starts to bind an then cut it a bit more.

The sneaky way would be to pull the inner and outer tubes apart and then lift it up all the way and chalk where you need to do the cutting with the hack saw making sure you have 80 percent of the male end in the female tube.

Forgot about the new stick. I'll deal with the oil.

Funny, I just watched the youtube on PTO cutting. Not too clear, at least not to me. If I need to shorten by 10 inches is it 10 off each shaft or 5 off each??

Looks like college degree is not working here??

I believe 5" off of each is the correct way.

Do you have any details on the dipstick extender? I have the gurgling oil issue with my 5' caroni flail. Other than the oil ooze issue I love the mower.

I would recommend watching the PTO video again before you start cutting. I have never seen a PTO shaft that was ten (10) inches too long. It is hard to put the shaft back after cutting it off. Did they give you the shaft for a Rotary Cutter? If the shaft is ten inches too long that means you shorten each by ten (10) inches. You also have to shorten the PTO shaft guard.

1. Lay a straight edge across your lift arms at the center of attachment pin holes. Measure from the end of the tractor PTO shaft to the center of your straight edge.

2. Now measure from the locking indent on the PTO shaft on the Mower to the center of the attaching pins. (You will need your straight edge again)

3. Add the two measurement together - this is the length of the PTO shaft you need.

4. Now place the PTO shaft on the floor and push it together - make as short as possible.

5. Now measure the overall length of the shortened PTO shaft.

6. How much longer is the actual PTO shaft than your measurements? This is how much too long the shaft is.

As said above , if you only shorten both halves by 5" you have only reduced the length by 5" . They don't butt together remember , they slide inside each other .
