I currently have a Herd 750 3pt. seeder. Im fairly pleased with it. Im considering one with a larger hopper. Are there any other companies that make a seeder comperable in quality to Herd? Just exploring my options. thanks

Herd is the best in my opinion. The 1200C with optional extensions would hold 2000lb and with optional lids would cost $1780 + modest shipping. Category 2 lift arm pins. Ken Sweet

Vicon is another excellent brand as well.

Check out the Baltic B80 from Denmark. Here's a link to the manual: http://www.agequipmentusa.com/include/HTMLs/MailingFiles/Spreader%20B-80%20manual.pdf Besides being heavy duty, they also use stainless steel in the corrosion-prone areas. They're imported around here by AgEquipUSA for all the Tennessee Farmers Coop outlets. But how how far their distribution ranges - or if there are other importers - I'm not sure.
