I posted earlier about possibly restoring a Deere 8' Model LF Distributor, found on Craigslist. It was in typical condition, really dirty, moderate rust and a few worn out parts. I found an original parts list, some new parts, and some used. Disassembled it, sandblasted, and new paint and tires. I am now an expert on these spreaders!! Can't wait to use it soon.

Even has the four leg Deere Decal - Sweet!

Probably sounds dumb since putting the decal on was probably the easiest thing you did but, sure makes its look new.

I could not resist. I tried to find a larger "John Deere" decal like I see on the old original ones, but it was backordered. I made myself wait until I had completely finished it before I "crowned" it with new decals as a finishing touch. I spent way too much money and time on this, but its fun to take something old and make it look and function as it was originally intended. I get carried away sometimes, but that is the perfectionist in me.

would you know where to find a set hubs for one? I bought lf-12 but it's missing the lock in parts for the auger on both sides. sure wish mine look that nice.

I have owned several of these and they are handy to have around. You have done a superb job on this one. We scatter fertilizer, sow seed, spread lime and spread dried chicken litter with those here in KY. Ken Sweet
