Well, I bought Pat's easy change system and I just came in from an attempted install ending in two very stuck Pins. Not sure if my lift arms were out of spec or Pat's bolts but I now have a half installed system and I can not back the pins out. Any suggestions?

I know this was a VERY simple install but something is out of whack.

Are you referring to the pins that go through the PEC and into the ball joints on the lift arms?? Maybe the PEC pins were not sized correctly.

You should probably post on this on the Pat's Easy Change forum at the top of this page. OR else, just call Pat tomorrow, I'm sure he'll be glad to assist you.

Yes,, the large main pins. I will call Pat in the AM. Thanks

You may as well spray some penetrating oil on those pins.

Unless the pins were oversized from the factory (kind of doubt it), I'm surmising the ball joints had some rust in them.

Good luck in driving them out. Use a brass drift pin, if you have one.

You may have rust in the hole of the joint or the ball joint (don't know the real name) has so much play inside it, it's cocked. How much wear does the unit have on it (hours)?

Well, I took the arm off the tractor. Trying to beat those pins out with the arms flopping around was like hitting a Pinata made out of steel.

Once the arms were off I soaked the Pin area with break free then used a piece of stainless round stock I had and a light sledge. Got them both out and Pat's is rushing me out a new set of pins. I will do a much better job prepping the surfaces before I go smashing pins again. Live and learn.....

My Massey only has 30 hours on it so there must have been some paint or rust in the ball joints and the Pins from Pat's had some heavy paint on them as well, that combined with my impatience made for the perfect storm...
