Ok guys have a chance to pickup this gem about 5 miles from my house. Only talked to the guy on the phone for bout 3 minutes going to go get some more info but say ye? Missing the front coulter but moldboards seem barely broke in, felling them from topto bottom no chamfer or wear on the edge!

It says Kverneland NR on it. What's it worth? Think it's a 14" I didn't have a tape just going by my arm haha!! Will my 45hp new holland 4wd pull it in NY soil???

Around $500 would be a bargain, If the frame is not sprung or bent? Ken Sweet

Sorry about the grammer in the 1st post, was posting from my tree stand! Anyway, the 5 mins I looked at it, everything looked straight and square. He wants 500 for it and seems to be in excellent shape just a little weathered from sitting outside.

I am new to farming so I guess I'm a little lost on the 2 wheels on the back! One is a regular tire, the other is a hard steel wheel which I would assume is like a depth setting wheel?

But for 500 seems to me a good deal considering everything I've read about them is they are about the best, plus it is a auto reset trip plow. Everything else around me is either beat up junk or Ford 101's for 600ish!!

I sold the last 3 bottom auto reset plow I had for $1500. Granted it was newer than this one. The steel wheel is the furrow wheel and the rubber looks to be an adjustable depth control wheel. If you buy it, I may have a front coulter that would work? It would have to be 1 1/2 inch diameter shank. I am out of the used 1 3/8 shank coulters for a while. Ken Sweet

The round frame means its a hydrein which means the parts are obsolete. Some pieces are no longer sold, even in europe where they are extremely popular. But for a little bit of plowing, you aren't gonna wear out more than the points which I think are still available.

Hydrein? I typed it in google, and seems to be an older design? Or just a different manufacturer or frame? Then Kverneland put their components on them?

And by parts, you mean moldboards or what? Other than the boards, points etc, I have the ability/machinery to make just about any part that would bend/break/need replaced.

If it were close to me, I would have already bought it to resell. Ken Sweet

I have almost the same exact plow. Mine says Kverneland on it. Heck it still has a pretty little picture of a Fininnish farm on the back of the shares. The only difference is mine doesnt' have the tail wheel.
Mine is a plowing machine. It really flips sod well. NH soil is bonier than NY (depending on where you are) and mine resets well. I picked mine up in Ontario for 500. Which was a deal considering what the modern 3 btms go for.
I'm still kicking myself for not buying a Fiskars plow that was the exact same thing but with 16in bottoms at an auction for 100 this fall.
