I have a quick connect system on my 3 point hitch but unfortunately my box blade and rotary mower are two differnet widths. Therefore I still have to get off of the tractor to hook up to the differnet implement. I tried switching the lift pins on the rotary mower to inside the vertical support beams but then it was too narrow?

Why don't all manufacturers have a universal width that all attachments are built to?

There is a standard, but only a few OEM's follow it. Buying older implements is a crap shoot. I have modified several things to fit my iMatch QH, well worth the time and energy.

You will be happy when you get them re-made to fit your QH. Then you will say "Why didn't I do that sooner, rather than later!". :)

When a lot of 3 ph attachments were made, not many customers were asking for a specific fit so likely didn't feel any compelling need to adjust their design/assembly for a small market. Maybe there is a growing demand for the better life and that will change, although expect it to be sloooow.

As I understand it, the iMatch system from the big green (JD) is one of the ones that DOESN'T follow the standard. The "height" from lower pins to top link hole is shorter on the iMatch equipment. JD did this on purpose, so that their iMatch will only work on JD equipment or on those whose equipment has both holes. I believe that most King Kutter equipment has both an upper and lower hole, as do some others. Also, many of the Cat. I quick hitch manufacturers have made their top hook adjustable so as to accommodate this shorter height to work on equipment that is only supposed to work with the iMatch.

thanks for the info guys. My King Kutter rotary mower is about 1 1/2 inches wider than my box blade. If I spin the lift pins around to the inside of the vertical supports then the pins on the rotary mower are narrower than the box blade.

The box blade has lift pins that slide between two tabs that have holes in them therefore I was trying to make the rotary mower line up with this. The only thing that I can think off would be to buy a long bolt\pin to slide through one side of the box blade and then attach on the outside of the support tabs on one side instead of between them like it was designed. I don't know if this would potential cause any harm. Any thoughts?

That is 100% wrong info. Just look at the ASAE standard. The iMatch does not have the adjustable top hook because it follows the standard exactly. The link I posted is not from JD. Everybody wants/likes to assume that JD is all about keeping things propietary, but that is not the case here.

I have linked proof that a standard does indeed exist and that JD follows it...can you show proof they don't?

Search for yourself please, simply Google "ASAE quick hitch" or "ASAE s278.6"

Does anyone know when the I-Match came out? I have a John Deere box blade and Weight box from 1983 and their a little different. I have a Speeco Quick Hitch and use the bottom set of holes for the box blade and top holes for the weight box.

I'm trying to make things the same ( to the correct standard) so which set of holes should the center hook be adjusted to?

Thanks, Dan
