After lots of hard study, I decided finally this morning that this is the one that I want for my DK55c. All I want to do with it is to move brush around and pile it up to burn.

I called Gator this morning around 9 AM CST and ordered the 48 inch with extra tines. Talked to Stella. She is a real sweetheart. If you call, don't call her Ma'am. She does not like that! Anyway, she called about two hours later to tell me that the grapple will ship out today. That is some pretty great service. Total, shipping and all, was $1115. Not bad for another toy. Speaking of toys, i just bought this one:
YouTube - Gunblast.com - Jeff's New Toy: 1" Cannon

I will give another grapple report when the thing arrives next week.

Your face is going to crack in this weather with all the smiling that you're going to be doing! Enjoy.

Enjoy the new tractor toy. Your other toys look pretty cool too!

OH, Aimed to add this in the last post. I work for a company that purchased/merged with one from the Midwest. There is a lady that leads a project I am on and she is from the Midwest. Of course us south of the Mason Dixon will say ma'am to show respect. However, it is interpreted at least by her as an indication of age, older age. Not good. She has asked we refrain from this practice.

I got one like that last spring and it got a LOT of use this past summer. Somehow, I managed to slightly twist the grapple (which bugs me like a picture hanging crooked), but it still works fine.
Now that I've figured out how to get the pressure off the hydraulic system, I really love the flat-face fittings on the grapple rake. I think its an especially bright idea to have them in male-female pairs. This way, not only is the equipment hooked up the same way every time (so the controls don't get reversed), but, when the implement is detached, you can hook the hoses together so they don't need caps to keep the couplings clean.

Good tip! But....You can do this with "Pioneer" style couplers too. (both of the above) ;)

I got the hoses plumbed in. I had two sets of remotes at the rear of the tractor, so I just used one of those. Works perfectly!
I drove the tractor with grapple attached about 9 miles to the NAPA store, and they made the hoses for me. I got everything tightened up, and the grapple works exactly as I hoped it would.

Around here, napa really reams people on the hydraulic hoses. Tsc had ready made lines with ends, cheaper then the hose only from napa.
