Who makes a good heavy duty 2 bottom plow?

I was wondering who makes a good plow. I ended up breaking one on some large rocks that were hiding in the old pasture I was plowing. I was amazed at how well it was yanking them out of the ground and finally hooked one that was too much. Switched to another old heavy plow that did well but need to replace my father-in-laws plow that I broke.

They make plows that trip, but don't make any that will plow rocks.

Best choice is to check Craigslist everyday. Use SearchTempest to check all listing for as far as you want to drive.

Not many people are making new, heavy duty, small plows at a reasonable price. Of course, even the old ones can cost quite a bit.

I have been looking at (Temporarily blocked due to reports of company closure)...they have a 2 bottom plow at what seems to be a good price. Also check Darrell Harp Enterprises. They have a plow called Big Bee..I picked up a one bottom Big Bee plow a couple of weeks ago used....has the shear bolt or trip bottom...good plow. Hope this helps...

T.S.C. has a real nice Two Bottom Plow with a Shear Bolt.

Ford. The old Ferguson and Ford plows from the 1940's are the best. There are still many of them around from 70 years ago working just fine.

No manufacturer of plows today, makes a plow that will hold a candle to the older Ford, Massey,Oliver, International, John Deere, Pittsburg. You need a plow spring trip built into the plow. Below are some examples. Ken Sweet

This is the best plow for rocks and roots. It rolls over the rocks and cuts the roots. Ken Sweet
