Best Carry All Platform Width?

We've got what is called a "carryall leveller" which is 48" wide and 24" deep (fore and aft). and has about a 30" high back.
It is tube framed and has steel side to side cross members. It fits on the FEL in place of the bucket and can have wood floring, sides, and rear for carrying and with the carrying apsects removed it becomes a leveller so that material can be levelled by using the cross members with FEL and tractor movement to move the material to level.

Works great!

Like to see a picture of that, tractorlet!

Last visit to Home Depot I scored enough culled pieces of 2x10x4' pressure treated lumber to more than do the carry all...so 4' it will be. Hard to pass by the opportunity to select the best pieces at $ 1.31 cents each!

Just finished building a carryall using many of the suggestions from this thread. Bought a TSC carryall frame, 2X6's and 2X10 for a bottom, 1 inch deck boards on back, stake pockets from TSC, sides and back 1X4 whilte pine and 2X4's.

I made mine 44 inches wide and 33 inches deep. The sides and back are 24 inches high. Seems to be good dimensions for my BX2200.

So far hauled 20 sheets of drywall and two loads of firewood. Works great!

<font color=black>I found a picture of the carryall/leveler on tractorlets website. Hmmmm...it actually looks like it would be a good starter platform for a personnel lift.<font color=black>

I constructed (2"X6" forks connected with 2"X4", and covered with 1/2" plywood) an extension on my FEL to carry debris from around the property, garbage cans to the road, etc. It measures 8' by 5' (the latter the width of my FEL - which is just about 2' deep). It's bolted on to the FEL with 1/2" bolts X 4. One needs to keep FEL capacity in mind when loading the unit, and the physics of loads that can be 6' ahead of the front lip of your FEL. When not overloaded, mine works fine, and is much more convenient than a (smaller) pickup truck bed.
