My dealer called this morning to see how I was liking the TC45D, loader, and especially the finishing mower. He knew that sometimes I mow my yard in damp conditions, and sometimes it is thick when I mow, did I want to upgrade to the RM990 for $950 more dollars. The reason that I did not purchase the RM990 is because they did not have one at the time. I went ahead and used my father-in-laws big tractor and bush hoged the yard before I mowed it because the grass was so high. 6 to 8 inches, and higher in the back yard. The yard is a mixture of clover, alfalpha, weeds, wild onions, and other stuff that I don't know what it is, but it sure grows thick. We built out in the middle of a pasture. So, I do not know if the woods RM8400 would have mowed it or not. The dealer said the RM990 would mow it without a problem, if I went slow. Any advice? Stick with the 8400, or uprgrade. I Know that I could mow more frequently, but me and my wife are out of town a lot with our Jobs. I do not want to have to drive 20 miles everytime to borrow a tractor to bush hog this yard when we have been out of town to just turn around and mow it again to get the finish quality look. Let me know what ya'll think.
