Re: Bush hog blades on a finish mower?
The Woods 990 RFM has the short
blades w/ center disk but it isn't
built heavy like a stump jumper.

Re: Bush hog blades on a finish mower?
befco makes a finish mower that has swing blades on each spindle(2 per spidle) and three spindles that i have been seen used for both finish and brush hoging. But i think its in the bigger sizes(90" and 110" ) c70 series only, but not shure.

Re: Bush hog blades on a finish mower?
For $500 or so you can buy a new 4' bush hog and I'd bet there's some great deals on used ones.
$500 is a lot more than a $50 set of blades. But after the time it takes to change blades (if it's even possible, since the mechanics are totally different), and after repairing the damage to your $1500+ finish mower, the $500 is an investment in your time and insurance policy for your finish mower.
I'm no financial advisor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once upon a time.

Re: Bush hog blades on a finish mower?
Well I tried cutting small brush with my woods mower without asking anyone, the $64.00 drive belt did not like it a bit
