I noticed at my TSC that the carryalls and the other implements are slowly coming in "quick hitch compatible" The ones that have been in stock are not compatible but the new ones are.

Mine has a sticker that says "Quick Hitch Compatible". Some post I read on here said that even though it has this sticker, it is not compatible...

i missed one for sale on the side of the road for $40 a month or 2 ago, it alread had a box built out of 5/4 boards on it with one board wide sides as well. I know a place along i85 between charlotte and spartenburg that the guy sells them for $65 (new). They may be a tad smaller than the one at TSC but i did not pay attention to either.

Even though my carryall frame is rated at 1000lbs, I still worry a bit about overloading it. My box will hold over 1/3 cord of wood; when the wood is wet/green hardwood, this can approach the limit of the carryall (especially since the 2X8 framing probably already weighs a couple hundred pounds!).
Maybe the lighter unit would be appropriate if I had a 20 hp tractor, but
I wouldn't even consider the 500lb limit carryall frame for my uses.
