If memory serves the owner's manual says 12.9 gpm.
Maybe so. The cycle rate is about 14 sec. Kinda slow but plenty fast enough for me. 1800 rpm and what it will not split it will slice. I like what you did with the cheapo legs.

Your CK30 is 12.7 to be exact. But that is where their marketing gets ya. That is TOTAL hydraulic flow. Which is the sum of the hydraulic pump that runs the 3PH, loader, etc AND the power steering. Your power steering is probabally in the ballpark of 5 gpm. So you are actually only giving the splitter ~8 GPM.

This might be a little off-topic here, and if so, I'm sorry, but I have had dealers tell me that they don't recommend using splitters with the smaller tractors (under 35 hp or so) because it's too much strain on the hydraulics. One told me it "heats up the oil too much." Now, if this is the case, why don't they make splitters to just run off the PTO? It would cost more, sure, but for those who have to install an extra kit for the hydro in the rear, that much would be saved anyway. With my NH TC26DX having 19 pto hp, it would seem that any of the small tractors would have plenty of power there. If they can make a complete splitter with an little engine for $1000, it would seem they could do a PTO one for about the same, no? Maybe the problem is fuel? Would running the PTO at less than 540 rpm damage it somehow, if one wanted to just use the thing at more sedate engine rpms? Certainly even a quarter of the 19 pto HP should be plenty to run a splitter..

Like spk64 suggested in his post you can make a PTO driven 3pth hitch splitter by adding a PTO pump, tank, filter and fittings from say, Surplus Center - Hydraulics, Engines, Electrical and More
or buy the whole system from say, http://www.ramsplitter.com/3pt%20pto%20flyer.pdf

I am not worried about the strain on my tractor hydraulics. WR Long, the maker of my valve kit, suggested it was good to 12GPM and that overuse should not be a problem. If the hoses got hot to the touch it was time to take a brake.

If I need more speed I will add the PTO pump and parts in the future.

GGeorge I also have a ck30 and am considering this splitter. Has it held up well? What is the performance? Any info appreciated!
Thanks
Mark

I recently bought one of these form TSC. Very happy with the performance. I have a Kioti CK 30. Had to hook up rear remotes first. It says Countyline on the splitter but has SpeeCo manuals. I paid $699.00 plus the hoses and connectors.
