Just wondering what attachments everyone has bought for a 25-26hp tractor? What make and model is the best for price and quality? Rear blade, rototiller, box blade, etc.

I bought a Frontier 5' rear blade from our JD dealer for $250 about 3 or 4 years ago.

A MacKissic TPH-122 or similar DR chipper/shredder is a good buy.

My 4' bush hog was $1,000 when I bought it with the tractor from JD. Has been fine for me.

Does your blade pivot and tilt?

Land Pride RTR0550 tiller, 48" rotary cutter and a LMC box scraper.

Any make/model that's "Used" but doesn't look like it was abused... and even than, if the price is right!

If you are willing to, please post the prices paid for the items?

I would be more than willing if I could just remember; bought too much stuff since then. I think I paid $1900 for the tiller and $250 for the BB.

I use my FEL by far the most, followed by a box blade.

What I have found out is that you get what you pay for.. Typically the higher priced stuff is heavier weight, heavier made (quality), and has better paint.. They may also include stuff that is optional on the lower priced stuff..

Just this week I was looking at the Country Line rear blades at TSC (they have a new design for the top bracket that looks much sturdier than the old models) - i think they are like $300... Then I looked at a Leinbach (my neighbor has a landscape rake that is very nice) rear blade for $600ish.. BUT the Leinback was at least 120lbs heavier (270 vs 393 lbs)- which is nice for a rear blade..

Landscape Rake TSC....$469.

Rear Blade ''.....$319.

CarryAll "....$129.

Frontier Snowblower....$2100. 64".

If it would snow I am sure the snowblower is the best value. Beyond that the rear blade has been exceptional value. I believe in the CountyLine attachments. Someothers don't.
