Does anyone know of a powered rake or sweeper that would fit a CUT?
I have a bunch of live oak trees and they are all dumping acorons all over the yard.
The county was useing a powered sweeper (selfpropeled) on a road project the other day
and if someone make a smaller 3 pnt device it would sure be a handy tool. I guess a dethacher would be the closest thing to what I need.
Any Ideas?

There is the Kubota rotary broom that attaches to the front quick-attach mount on the BX. Sweepster makes brooms for the 3pt or front that will fit the BX as well. Here is their website: http://www.tractorsmart.com lists pricing for the Kubota front mount broom.

We just priced a Rotary broom for a Kubota B7500 without the front hydraulics from the dealer and were quoted $5400 installed. Figured we could buy a lot of brooms and labor for that.
Maybe next year.

Thanks for the information guys, I have checked up on all of them, and I think I will work on a non-powered rake using the spring type rake teeth from TSC that I can attach to a frame in front of the loader bucket to loosen the acorns and set the teeth high enough to let the FEL blade be just resting on the grass.
Maybe it will loosen the acorns and they will be high
enough to slide into the loader bucket.
I sure wish there was a market for live oak and white oak acorns.

Isee you have a Kubota so this info may not help you, but maybe someone else will benefit. John Deere sells a nice 51" broom for their small CUTs. It works with the hydraulic Quick-Tach front end attachment, so it is in front of the tractor, andgles from side to side and lifts. The broom is PTO powered and has adjustable casters. Its a nice unit and priced at about 2500.
