I bought this John Deer model 225 8 1/2 foot offset disk from a neighbor. When I first bought it, I planned on just putting it right to work. After I looked at it for a few days, I decided I would at least paint it. After looking at it another couple of days, I decided on an all out restoration. I completely dis-assembled it (Completely). I then had each part sandblasted and painted. I purchased all new bearings, blades, wheels and tires, hydraulic lines, most of the bolts, all but a very few nuts and all of the washers. I had all of the oval holes welded up and re-drilled. On some of the wallowed holes, I installed full thickness bushings and had them welded them in. It has been sitting on palates, dis-assembled and waiting for the past 4 months. I finally got around to putting it all back together. here are some before and after pics. I dont have it completed yet, but will post pics when I do. enjoy.
