I have a Befco C70 90" finish mower that has had very little use & is in excellant condition. I am concerned that it is going to bigger than I should be using on my L3130 Kubota. What is a mower like this worth in the middle Tennessee area?

Befco makes very nice equipment. I've had two Befco finishing mowers.
As far as your mower, I'd put on Craigslist for $1800/OBO and see how you do.
Your biggest problem is that is a big mower...not too many folks going to be looking for a mower that big....but good luck!

You're welcome...

You know, your Kubota may not be able to lift that mower, but if you mow frequently enough or go slower when the grass is high, you might be able to use it (if you can't sell it). I don't know what your tractor's PTO HP rating is, although I'm sure it's right on the edge of too low. But using that big mower with some common sense...well, it might work. I'm also sure you'll need front ballast if you intend to transport it raised on your 3PH.

Roy - The tractor picks up the mower without straining with the loader on (rated at 2600 lbs 24" back). I have not tried without the loader. I can mow all I have to mow without lifting the mower. My tractor is rated at 25 hp at pto 31 engine. The mower is so quite & smooth I would like to keep it.
Thanks Billy

If you have the mowing to justify a 90" RFM, I'd keep it.
I'd written I had 2 Befco mowers. The first was a 60" unit that came with the Deere 670 I bought 10 years ago. It was a great mower. I kept it when I traded up to a Deere 790 and used it another 5-6 years. I traded the 790 and mower for a Deere 4400 which came with an 84" Befco. This is also a great mower but just too darn much for the acre of finished lawn I mow. The problem isn't so much the overkill for the mowing...the mower is on the edge of being too big to get into the garage (about 1" clearance each side) and I had to store it outside for the winter as it's wider then the door of my outbuilding.
Frankly, I'd like a 72" mower...that size would fit best for my needs.

BTW, that 84" mower weighs in at just under 800 lbs. My 4400's hitch is good for 2200 lbs 24" aft of the links. I've lifted and transported it without the bucket on the loader, but I haven't dropped the loader off the tractor yet. I'm pretty sure I'd want a few front weights if I transported with the loder off.

My old 60" mower probably would because it had the standard Cat 1 pins hookup.
I have a Deere QH and can attest the 84" mower won't fit without modification
The 84" mower used two clevises (draft arms go between them) and a pin goes through the clevis and "eyeballs". The problem is the spacing between the clevises so modification would be required. I guess it depends on the size and model number of the mower.

BTW, after having had the Pat's Easy Change and currently owning a QH, I definitely prefer the Pat's system.
