Buying a used tiller?
I am looking at these three used 3pt tillers and would like to pros and cons of each.
These two are at auction next weekend. A Woods GT60 and a 84" WAC both are in pretty good condition.
The third is a private party with a 6ft King Kutter in very good almost new condition for $1300.
As you can see in my signature I own a 4110 Mahindra.
I figure I can handle both the 5 ft and 6 ft models with the 6 ft being closer to my rear wheel track. The 7 ft I'm not sure if the 4110 would be up to the weight.

Re: Buying a used tiller?
Not too familiar with those tillers, but you should get one that at least comes within a few inches of covering the tire tracks. You will probably have buyers remorse on a 60". With 33.6 PTO HP on your tractor, the 72" King Kutter (35-50HP Rating) sounds like the best option.

Re: Buying a used tiller?
After talking to my banker (wife) I guess I will be pulling the trigger on a new 6ft. model.
The used KK mentioned above has been sold, waited to long.
So it's down to either a KK from Rural King or a Tarter from TSC, they are both the same price.
Thanks
Jeff

Re: Buying a used tiller?
Jeff, Will I be competitive on a New Tarter 5 ft at $1695 and $94 Commercial business shipping or a 6 ft Tarter at $1795 + $94 shipping. I also have the 5 ft Gear drive Hawkline by Behlen for $1595 or the 6 ft Hawkline for $1695 + same shipping? We have them in stock and can get one to you in 1-2 days. You can save an additional 3% off the gross with payment by check. Ken Sweet

Re: Buying a used tiller?
I have a Woods GT60 that came with my used tractor. It looks rough but works well. I agree with tractor guy that a 5' tiller is a bit small for your tractor.

Re: Buying a used tiller?
Ken what sort of price could we get together on if I pick a 6footer up? I'm not that far from Munfordville, Ky. here in south central Indiana.

Re: Buying a used tiller?
I bought a used KK II, 60" for $950 used. It's in great shape. I put an add on my local craiglist saying I was looking for one and I had a few calls. I was going to buy new, but to me there is not much that can go wrong with a tiller as long as it is kept lubricated and the tines look good. A new one would have cost me over double that. I hate buying new implements just cause of the cost.
