Info needed on a Farm King Tiller
I am looking at a used 60" Standard Duty Farm King Tiller. I have checked some posts on the board and the comments on this brand of equipment have been positive. The tiller is about ten years old and seems to be in good condition. The gear box was made in Italy. The owner said he replaced the tines once. After replacing he said he should have continued using the old ones as there was not that much wear in comparing them to the new. He keeps the chain compartment full of grease not oil. Any problem with that? He wants $650.00. Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks, John

Re: Info needed on a Farm King Tiller
Seems a tad steep in price for a tiller that old. Grease in gearbox indicates a possible oil leak in the past. --Ken Sweet

Re: Info needed on a Farm King Tiller
I have a 48 in farm king tiller. $1600. Canadian new. The chain compartment is meant for grease not oil. I have broken many tines and have repaired the chain at least half a dozen times but the conditions in which the tiller was being used were horrendous.
