Who makes Agri Supply's "Tillovator" tillers

I have emails from you, Ken where you say Caroni tillers are better than Sicma. Funny how it is always the stuff you sell that is the best.
We all remember you trashing gear drive tillers and now you are selling them.

I admit I was wrong about Caroni. When you worked for First Choice, You presuaded me that Sicma/First Choice/Phoenix were the worlds best tillers. You are a good salesman and you were right. As far as geardrive tillers go, I reallly would not give a flip of a nickle when it comes to gear vs chain when it is being used on under 30 HP tractors. Ken Sweet

That is an awesome price! I found a King Kutter in Dublin for $1500 but my Agri-supply won't match their price, they want $1600 for a 5 footer. Decisions, decisions!

I purchased a 6' KK rake, and 5' kk box blade about 3 weeks ago. There is a store closer to me that had the new higher prices. I told them to call the other store and price match. They had no problem doing this and quickly gave me the lower price after verifying the price.

I know there is a store in Dublin so I would think you could do the same thing. Just an option. Might be a $100-$200 more but resale will be higher and the thought of supporting US companies gives me a little extra satisfaction. Also no worries about parts and a strong history of quality. No I don't work for KK. :D

I have the kk from tsc for the compact tractors:thumbsup: and i love it! I dont know what more it could do compared to others. I take the side runners off and sink it as deep as it will go and it runs like a hot knife through butter. Like i said no problems and love it- so far!

I called Agri=supply today to make sure they still had the King Kutter tiller tnd that it was lubed up because I planned on buying it. When I went back in the yard I couldn't help but look at the no-name tiller and give them one last comparison and I couldn't beleive what I noticed.

The no-name tiller is actually welded better thatn the king kutter. On the underside of the tiller King kutter uses four welds about 3/4 inch long thus leaving 2/3 of the seam unwelded. The no-name tiller has three welds that are about 4 inches long, thus basically the whole seam is welded. The King Kutter also looks like it was painted by a blind person. It has thick chunks of paint in some spots and looks almost bare in others.

I also spoke with the guy who assembles the tillers and he spoke highly of the no-name tiller. When you couple all of these things together and the $400 price difference I think I am going to go with Agri-suppy's no-name tiller.

Jeff,
The older KK stuff certainly had some serious paint issues. The newer KK stuff paint seems to be much better. The box blade I picked up was marked down $200 because it was the last remaining old stock with bad paint. Lots of paint chipping off , surface rust etc.

I have not seen the tiller you are comparing against, but I have seen the tarter units and the KK units. Both look to be of excellent quality. Never seen a post concerning welds breaking on their tillers.

I am cheap as they come so I understand the need to save $$. I think you will be fine with either tiller. I would check on replacement tines and maybe the seals just to get a feel for how hard or easy it will be to get parts. Good luck and would really like to see some pics of your new tiller.

Underneath view of welds. Like I said in an earlier post this tiller had three long 4 inch welds that almost covered the entire seam vs only four welds 3/4 of an inch wide on the King Kutter.
