Please chime in. Finally found one of these for my BX. I went to put the lift arms together and have some questions. The photo on the site and the illustration in the parts book don't coincide.

If you look at the attachments, the photo shows the two top link arms to the outside of the frame. The parts book, however, shows them on the inside.

How is yours set up? And did you install the arms or was it bought assembled?

Also, what is the size of the spacer between the arms? Mine didn't come with one. I slaved in a stand in, but am having trouble lining it up so the top link pin doesn't bind. I followed the parts illustration on the arms BTW.

Try leaving the bolts loose on the BB and put your "stand in" with the bolt and then tighten them up. That is what I have done in the past.

That's what I'm trying. I stopped and thought I'd get more intel. I got it unbinded, but it goes out of alignment when I tighten the lower arm pin nuts. I'll move the arms to the outside and go from there. I have a big hammer so it will work out one way or the other...:D

Thanks.

I would check to see if the length between the drilled holes are near equal. They are off a little but should not be so far off that it puts it in a bind. After you switch to the outside of the BB you may fix the problem.

OK. I tried the arms on the outside like the photo and the alignment was way off. There was no way the spacer would have pulled the arms together parallel. So, I figured i would go back to the inside. After putting one arm to the outside, I noticed it was a lot closer to being aligned. Sure enough, I put the spacer and bolt together tight with all the other bolts loose and was able to put the top pin in, no problem. I left it in and secured all the bolts and it works.

So it looks like I have a third configuration. I notice paint peel on on of the rear arms at the bends that looks like it was bent slightly. Didn't effect my fitment though.
Here's a crappy cell phone pic. I still need a spacer. I stole this one from the carry all. Not sure I need it on there.

PS- I emailed all this to KK and they just replied to call tech dept.

Can't wait for it to dry up some. I need to do some leveling in the back yard, spread fresh gravel on the drive and, heck, I'm going to plow up my small garden with it. :D

Mine are on the outside. But it doesnt change anything since I modified the XB to fit my JD imatch. When I used it on my grandpa's old JD 2210 i never had any issues with hooking it up, I just got a lot implements and made everything imatch compatible, well except my PHD.

LOL. I guess my issue is "null and void" with your set up.

:thumbsup:Chief, I loved your hammer line. Reminded me of my first supervisor when I was a young airman stationed at Rhein-Main AB..."there ain't nothing that can't be fixed as long as your hammer is big enough."
