Rear Blade Need a new rear blade

First Choice and Buy Smart are indeed the same folks located in the same facility. The Buy Smart side of the business is for a wide variety of parts for many applications. The First Choice side is equipment. Not sure what they will be doing in the future for a supplier for the equipment we produced for them. In addition, it is my understanding that their finish mowers and tillers will not be available in blue or green.

We have been selling the "Tufline and "Grizzley" heavier rear blades for several years. They are heavy, but not overkill and wont bust the budget. Ken Sweet

I have a First Choice box blade that is supposedly their "light duty" model. I can't imagine ever needing anything heavier. I posted some pictures on a thread here some months ago if you want to look at them. If I were to want a rear blade I'd order one from them without hesitation. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I am having trouble finding a first choice dealer in NJ . My dealer is looking to sell me a worksaver brand. I have spoken to first choice and they admit to not having a dealer but told me that they should have one right after the new year. I want it for snow so April will not do . I am thinking of going for the worksaver.

I have a six foot Farm Star backblade that I got it at QFF. Farm Star and Work Saver are made by the same company, and are exactly the same. This is the second year that I've used in for snow plowing, and I've been very happy with it. Farm Star had two different back blades, I got the better one, which was only slightly more expensive, but looked a little sturdier. It was on sale for just under $200.

So...I think you'll be happy with the Worksaver.

Ray,

Try midwest They are the mfg that made gary's boxblade for first choice. Available mail order via carver & sweetfarm equipment. I have their aerator, very happy with it.

OK Bartman, here are the pictures I promised. I've been working 12 hour days lately, so it took a little longer to get to this than it normally would have. Sorry for the delay -

This first one shows how the piece of 4 inch tubing twisted and cracked. It also shows how the piece of 1/2 inch plate on the top was bent.

To finish up this thread, I thought I leave a few pictures of my new LandPride blade. It is a beaut!

This first picture shows it in it's middle position. It is a 7 foot blade.
