Brush & Root Grapple

I've been looking for a grapple for my Bobcat CT335 tractor and came across these grapples made by ANBO for compact tractors. ANBO Manufacturing - Rock, Root & Tree Grapple GR-M I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with these units. I noticed that their weight is quite a bit less than most similar units I've found, but construction wise they seem very similar to others.

I would be curious as to their price. I think the Anbos are pretty expensive, as compared to other grapples often recommended here. How big is your tractor and what lift capacity is the FEL They hype their hardened steel, but I think that is overkill for a tractor, as regular steel is plenty strong and cheaper.

The tractor is rated a 38hp and the the FEL has lifting capacity of 1300lbs. The ABNO Grapples weigh about half the weight of similar ones I've seen. I was interested in these so that I could have a little more load capability than what the other brands would have allowed me due to the weight of their grapples.

Did you check out their bucket grapple?That with a tooth bar would save a lot of weight and $$$$$$$$$$$.

If your intention is to add a hydraulic grapple to your existing FEL bucket, you might want to investigate M.E.I., a TBN site advertiser-look in the Kioti tractor section.
I just had one built by them for my NH TC40 and is due at my local freight depot tomorrow. A few more bucks than some of the others but available in 24" and 36" both with four sets of teeth. I'll post photos as it gets mounted.

I have a GRM 66" Anbo grapple. It is a great tool. Very strong and it is light weight. I would not go quit as wide if I had it to do over. I bought mine used. When you by used you get what you get. I think mine weighs in at 340#. Here is the grapple working on a creek crossing. I love the rake function you can reach out and drag back which comes in handy. The drawback is you cant lay anything in the bottom and open the grapple like the gator grapples that you see so many of here on TBN.

I have an 84" Anbo grapple for my 92hp CaseIH farm tractor. It is very stout and very heavy--1100 pounds worth. I am giving up lifting capacity for that heavy weight, but don't think I will ever bend it. Didn't know if it would be worth the cost, but am very glad I invested in it. A lot of my fields have timber around their edges and it works great for clean-up of downed limbs or after trimming limbs with the chainsaw. Sometimes I can grab the limbs with the grapple and just break them off. It worked great for clean-up after an ice storm two years ago.

I have a similar Root Rake to the Ambo but it was less money and weighed less but built very stout. I wanted this design to be able to open the rake and using the top rake brush out from between trees and it works well. I just build a pile then grab it all at once and haul away. The guy that builds them is real easy to deal with and will do custom changes if wanted. Any mount style you need as well.

Any chance of getting the name and location of the person who builds these grapples. Freight cost is also an important consideration for me.
