I was wanting to purchase a York Rake. The RW model which is the heavy duty one with wheels, scarfiers and a blade attached in front of the rake. My question is were do you purchase these and what is a good price? Does York have local dealers or do they just ship? I want a 6 ft model 4116. I found one place that will ship one for $1099. Is that a good price? Doing a search on the net for York only came up with two opions. Does York even have a web sight? Thanks

I’m not that familiar with retail prices, but what little I do know, York starts ~~ $1000… and then works their way up from there… they are considered the “crème-of-the-crop” for rakes… (Made in New York State, U.S.A…/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif)

York is so prevalent a name in the business, that it's almost like a Crescent wrench. People say York rake even when the brand is something else. You don't get that sort of recognition by just slapping something together.

Unless things have changed, I believe they are the only manufacturer that makes their own tines. They make good stuff.

That's It!!!!!!! Thanks for the information and the web sight. Does anyone know what the difference is between the RW 3pt. Landscape and the RI 3pt. versatile?

I found out the RW is for 30 HP and under tractors and the RI is for 35 HP and under. How does this compared with a TR3 rake which also has scrapers, a blade and a rake all in one. I know the tr3 is about 900 pds.
