Lower your BB down all the way, make your adjustments to your top link until it gets hard to turn, then lift the BB then lower it again. You may have to do that a couple of times depending on how much you are adjusting it.
The is a good video provided by EverythingAttachments.com on how to use a BB. It shows the different uses for a BB, just go to their website and click on boxblades on the left side and the vidoe is at the bottom of the page I think.
